Oraletta's Adventure

Being a member of the Family of God, which is both local and global; I would like to share specific issues about the adventure The Lord and I are on dealing with lung cancer. I want to do this so that those who are praying for me will be better informed.

Keeping in Touch

Hello loved Ones & Partner's in Christ,
I am really enjoying this break I'm having without any treatments. Remember, the radiation was finished on Aug. 11th.
I am so thankful that my skin did not burn from the treatment ( I drank lots & lots of water). I was told that this helps.
I was having some problems swallowing when I finished, but now it is much better.
I was reading from my "Praying through cancer" devotional today, and it reminded me of "The Unwrapped Gift's",
All the members do not have the same function, so we, being many are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another." (Rom. 12: 4-5) NKJV
Oh! how true this is. ALL OF YOU HAVE BEEN SUCH WONDERFUL GIFTS TO ME, either one way or the other. It is so wonderful how faithfully God provides for each of us through the body of Christ. I AM TRULY HUMBLED.

I started back walking last week. Of course short distances and much slower than the usual, but it is a good start. I feel strong, and yes ladies, I'm back in the saddle again, washing, ironing, some small cleaning, some cooking. Working my way back to normal, only now I take naps during the day. Okay! I suppose this is enough for now. I''ll update you again in the near future. We still have a ways to go yet.

P.S. Let's remember that as we pray for one another, remember to first "WORSHIP OUR LORD & SAVIOR ", Let's build our relationship with Him, before we give Him "Our List". Oh how He deserves & cherish our worship and praise.

Radiation finished

Hi everyone,
Today (Aug.11th.) was my last day of radiation. What a joy that is. Now I will see my chemo doctor next Friday (Aug.18th.), and we will see where we go from here. Maybe more chemo. Remember when I was sick with the chills & fevers we had to cancel a couple of chemo treatments.
Well continue to pray for God's help to the doctors. Pray that they will make very good decisions about treatments.
Continue to pray that God will be merciful and heal me 100% of cancer. There are yet things to be done, but we will take it one day at a time.

THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS, CARDS & CONCERNS.

Home from hospital

Hello Everyone,
On July 24th. I started having very severe chills & high fevers. On July 26th. I was admitted to the Cleveland Clinic hospital via emergency room. The fever broke in the middle of the night and the doctors thought things were going to be okay. They did test and thought they had the reason for the fevers. However, they continued to return. I was treated with IV antiobiotics and sent home on July 29th. with oral antiobiotics.

On Monday July 31st. the condition repeated itself. On Wed. Aug.3rd. I was once again admitted to the hospital for chills & high fevers. Many tests have been done to get to the bottom of the problem.
I was discharged home today, Aug.7th. For three days I have not had a chill or fever. There is a possibility ( I said possibility that there was a medication reaction). We will see.

At present I am feeling good and glad to be home.
Thank you so much for your prayers, cards & concern. All of your acts of love. I know this does not give much info, but just keep praying that The God of the Universe, the Creator of Heaven & Earth who knows ALL THINGS, will continue to Sustain me and keep me in His Loving Care.
Pray that HE will help the doctors as they diligently care for me.

I Love you all with the Love of the Lord Jesus. I am tired now and must get some sleep.
