Oraletta's Adventure

Being a member of the Family of God, which is both local and global; I would like to share specific issues about the adventure The Lord and I are on dealing with lung cancer. I want to do this so that those who are praying for me will be better informed.

Radiation finished

Hi everyone,
Today (Aug.11th.) was my last day of radiation. What a joy that is. Now I will see my chemo doctor next Friday (Aug.18th.), and we will see where we go from here. Maybe more chemo. Remember when I was sick with the chills & fevers we had to cancel a couple of chemo treatments.
Well continue to pray for God's help to the doctors. Pray that they will make very good decisions about treatments.
Continue to pray that God will be merciful and heal me 100% of cancer. There are yet things to be done, but we will take it one day at a time.

THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS, CARDS & CONCERNS.

I just read this quote from David Powlison and thought you would appreciate it. You have used this time to not only reach out to others displaying His grace, but have allowed the Lord to prune your heart and life. “Sickness, like any other weakness and trouble, should force us to stop, to face ourselves, and to look for the Lord. It’s a chance to find sins we have been too busy to notice and…a chance to find a quickened need for Jesus’ mercies and a deepened delight in God.” We are so thankful for how the Lord has sustained you, stopped you in your tracks when others needed to meet you (like the hospital room mate)and when you just needed to know that HE was the one in charge. He has much work for you to do on this soil.
