Oraletta's Adventure

Being a member of the Family of God, which is both local and global; I would like to share specific issues about the adventure The Lord and I are on dealing with lung cancer. I want to do this so that those who are praying for me will be better informed.

One More Update

Hello Everyone!
Today for the first time the Home Care Nurse came to our home. She did a little more assessment, and then she drained the pleurx cath. She took out 1200 cc of fluid. Of course she taught me and Roosevelt. Breathing is always better when fluid is removed from around the right lung.
She plans to come back on Thurs., and we will see how things go.

So continue to pray that the Traceva will do it's job in attacking the cancer cells of the right lung and hopefully killing them off.

Thanks to each of you for your prayers, your love and "ALL" that you do for me & Roosevelt.

Update

Hello Loved Ones,

On Aug.8th. I had a pleurx cath inserted into the right side if my chest. This cath. will be used to drain any excess fluid from the chest should I have a build up of fluid.

On Aug. 13th. I went to the Clinic for an ultra Sound Of both legs which showed a significant amount of blood clots. So I was admitted to the hospital. It has been decided that I am NOT allergic to heparin as soon of the blood test had showed in the past.

So now I am not taking the coumadin any more, but I am back on the Lovenot shots (twice a day). I came home on Friday, Aug. 15th. Things are going well. I don't like giving myself shots, but I will do what I have to do to get better.

The Home Care Nurse will be here on Monday to teach Roosevelt and myself how to care for the cath. I do not know at this point how long the cath. will stay in, nor do I know how long I will take the shots.

I will be going back to see the doctor next Friday (Aug 22). I'm sure I will have more info at that time. So until then my Dear Praying Friends, let,s keep praying for each other.

Loving you with the Love of Jesus.

Update

Hello Dear Ones,
On Friday, Aug.1st, I went to CCF to be checked by Dr. Davis for my breathing. It was really difficult for me to get the next breath. So he took out 1liter of fluid which gave me much relief. Now this coming Friday ( Aug.8th) I will go to the Clinic again, this time I will have a cath. placed in the chest cavity, it is called pleurx cath. I am scheduled to come home that same day.

At the present I do not know how long the cath. will be left in. It depends on how well it works and how well the fluid drains off. Maybe a couple months or more. I will keep you informed.

We have a PRAISE" in our family. Thomas the oldest Grandson had a car accident yesterday. A young man hit him so he was not responsible for the accident. THOMAS WAS NOT HURT. We give God all the Praise for shielding him from physical harm. We are also grateful that the young man that caused the accident was not hurt either.

Let's pray for our young people as they drive cars; that God would protect them and that they would stay focused on driving.

NOW THE NEXT BIG ISSUE IS : THEY HAVE NO CAR. BUT WE KNOW THAT GOD WILL PROVIDE.

Loving each of you with the Love of Jesus:
