Good News! Not So Good News!
Hello to ALL of my Caring & Praying Loved Ones,
It has been a while since I last communicated with you. So now here we are.
Last night I received a phone call from one of my dear doctors at about 9:10pm. That alone was a shock. He had scheduled me for a Cat Scan on Dec.15th. You see the cough that I had a while back, had come back even worse once I stopped taking the prednisone. So my doctor wanted to be sure of what was going on before proceeding to treat me.
He had seen the CAT SCAN and wanted to give me the results. This is how he gave me the results.
"I have good news, and I have not so good news. I'll give you the good news first". "THE CANCEROUS NODULE THAT WAS IN YOUR LUNG, IS GONE. IT IS NOT THERE ANYMORE".
Loved Ones, I was so thrilled. I just could not THANK GOD ENOUGH. Now for the not so good news. The inflammation in my lungs is worst. Remember this infection in the lungs is a consequence of the radiation. So today I started back on the prednisone (lg. doses) for a while, and then we will decrease.
Of course this means being very careful of infections, because of the prednisone weakening my immune system.
I will keep you all updated as to how things are progressing with the lungs.
Thanks to each and everyone of you for your love & concern for Roosevelt and Me. We appreciate everyone of you. We wish each one of you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year.
"I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in Him..." (Eph. 3:17 TLB)
In Him,
Oraletta (for us both)
