Oraletta's Adventure

Being a member of the Family of God, which is both local and global; I would like to share specific issues about the adventure The Lord and I are on dealing with lung cancer. I want to do this so that those who are praying for me will be better informed.

Dr.'s Visit/Update for Now

Hello Dear Friends,
Yesterday Roosevelt, Yvonne (daughter) & I went to see one of my doctors. I had an MRI prior to seeing him, and of course blood work. The MRI showed that the brain is in good shape.
For the present time as you know I just finished my last chemo treatment on Friday (10/27). Things are going well since that time. The tumor in my right lung has responded very well to the treatments I've received, both radiation & chemo. Much decrease in size. There is yet a little "fuzziness" on the x-ray, however we NOW WAIT and see what happens with the tissue that is visible on the xray. We cannot rush things at this point.
I will see my doctor's again in February. By then we should have a much better idea as to where we are with the remaining tissue. At this point in the game "I DO NOT WANT TO USE THE WORD REMISSION", not just yet. If there is one thing I've learned through out this Adventure of mine is that I cannot rush things. It takes time for things to happen.
ONE THING I AM GRATEFUL FOR IS THAT I WILL BE "CLOSELY MONITORED" FOR SOME YEARS TO COME. The doctor's want to stay on top of things as much as possible, so if I show up, they will do their part to monitor me carefully.

So Loved Ones & Faithful Prayer Partners, let's continue to pray that whatever tissue is now visible on the xrays, will be all gone by February. We know that God is and always have been and always will be in control. So we seek Him for the complete healing of this cancer. Pray for me that I will "Walk Worthy of His Name", as I continue in this Adventure. To Him be the Glory.

"To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father--to him be glory and power for ever and ever!" Amen.

May the Lord Bless each and everyone of You,

Oraletta (for us both)

    Dearest Oraletta,
I will cotinue to pray for you and Rosie, and that His perfect will be done in your lives "in Him". You both have been such a blessing to Charles of which I am so very grateful. He is adjusting pretty well, and being very brave about not knowing anyone here in FL but me....he misses you and Rosie. God bless you both.
    Susan
