Oraletta's Adventure

Being a member of the Family of God, which is both local and global; I would like to share specific issues about the adventure The Lord and I are on dealing with lung cancer. I want to do this so that those who are praying for me will be better informed.

"Praising God at Midnight"

Hello Everyone,
Tonight I listened to Tony Evans on the radio. He was preaching from Acts 16 about Paul & Silas in prison, but yet "Praising God at Midnight". He gave examples of how we have times of Midnight in our lives during trials & tribulations. For me most of my Midnights have been health issues.
Most of you know that since Feb. or 2007 I have been in remission from lung cancer and doing very well. My energy levels have been great, I have been feeling really great. ALL HAS BEEN WELL.
However, for over a month now "I'm having some times of Midnight". I am experiencing a lot of Arthritis like pain ( especially on my right side), and my knees ( which is nothing new; ONLY MUCH WORST). I am barely moving around, and there is pain with almost every move and breath or cough. Today was not a good day at all. Advil has become a part of my regular diet. My doctors are starting a series of test next week, and hopefully we will get to the bottom of this situation.

Here is my schedule for those that are interested and will pray for me, and of course Dear Roosevelt as we go through another journey together. Let's hope this is a short quick solving journey.

Here is my schedule:
Dec. 4th. (tues): 8:15am I will have dye injected for a Bone Scan; 9:00am I will have x-rays done; 11:15am I will have the Bone Scan; 12:30pm I will see one of my oncologist; 1:00pm I will see my primary doctor.

Dec. 7th (fri.): 9:15am MRI; 11:00am Cat Scan (chest); 11:30am Bld. work; 3:00 pm I will see my radiologist.
Now guess what? There is a good ending to this day. We are invited to friends for dessert & coffee. I hope I can make it. I'm looking forward to a wonderful evening with wonderful friends after a couple days like this.

I will keep you posted on the test results.

Let's ALL Praise the Lord Jesus in the Daylight & also at Midnight. If we don't praise Him in the daylight, we will probably have a very hard time praising Him at Midnight.

Loving Each and Everyone of you,

Oraletta

    Oraletta,

An elderly man once told me that the devil only bothers those who are giving him trouble.

If this is true, you must be causing him a lot of grief.

You and Roosevelt have always been an example of Christ and His love.

Thanks for keeping us up to date. Susan and I will be praying for you.

    Oraletta,
Thank you so much for sharing with us your blog. It is such a blessing and inspiration to me and others to hear what is going on in your life and the lives of others. I am sure that you will have a good report this week after all the tests are done. I am praying for you and all of the members of the Cancer support group. Keep looking up.

    Mary Tyus
