The Storm if Over

Hello Dear Ones,
today I received a wonderful e-mail and here is the title: " Can You Sleep While The Wind Blows?"

The story was about a farmer who owned land along the Atlantic seacoast, and was having a hard time hiring help because of the awful storms that raged across the Atlantic.

However, he did come across a young chat that took the job. When the farmer asked him "Are you a good farm hand?" his respond was "Well, I can sleep when the wind blows."

One night the wind howled loudly in from offshore. Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed next door to the hired hand's sleeping quarters. He shook the little man and yelled, "Get up! A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!"
THE MAN ROLLED OVER IN BED AND SAID FIRMLY, "No sir, I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows."

Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm.
To his amazement, he discoved that all of the haystacks had been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn. The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down.
Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while the wind blew.

MORAL OF THIS STORY

When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically, you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life?
The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he "SECURED THE FARM AGAINST THE STORM.
We secure ourselves against the storms of life by grounding ourselves in the Word of God. We don't need to understand, we just need to hold His hand to have peace in the middle of storms.
THE END! ( I wish I was the author of this story, but I'm not)

Now I can't really say that I could sleep through the storm when my friend Hal was here. Remember I was his 24/7 primary care giver. So when the bell rang two or three times a night I could not sleep, I had to respond. BUT GUESS WHAT! Everytime I got up to answer the call, guess who was up with me, " You Know", Dear Jesus was right there with me. My friend Hal is home now. It has been a week today. He is doing far, but not as good as he should. He has no help at home. I JUST PRAY THAT SOMETHING HE HEARD OR SAW HERE AT OUR HOME WILL TUGG AT HIS HEART AND THAT HE WILL BE SAVED, THAT GOD WOULD HAVE MERCY AND SAVE HIM.
Please pray for his salvation.
"This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (1Tim.2: 3-4)

Your Friend & Servant in the Lord,

Oraletta

P.S. My health is good at the present time.
