Oraletta's Adventure

Being a member of the Family of God, which is both local and global; I would like to share specific issues about the adventure The Lord and I are on dealing with lung cancer. I want to do this so that those who are praying for me will be better informed.

A Happy Thanksgiving To All

Hello Dear Ones,
Roosevelt & I would like to wish each and everyone of you a " Happy Thanksgiving". If you are traveling we pray for safety for you. If you have family & friends visiting your home, we pray for the utmost Joy & Peace with them. Above all let's all give glory to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ for his gratefulness to us. Let's not forget to enjoy that wonderful turkey dinner.

At the present time I am doing well. It is so good to go to church and be able to see some of you and talk with you face to face. For all of those that are so far away that have prayed for us over the months, we can't see you, but we love and thank you. Truly we have so much to be thankful for. I will continue to be in touch with you. I did get my next appt. from the Cleveland Clinic. I will have many tests and see the doctors on Feb.28th. At that time we should know just where we stand with the cancer. However, in the meantime. Let's enjoy our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, enjoy our families & friends, and all of the upcoming holidays.
Also, we must remember those that are less fortunate than us. The homeless, the broken & battered. We should be so grateful for places such as the City Mission and others that will minister to the needy these up coming holidays.

I am so excited about all the upcoming holidays.

Loving each of you with the Love of the Lord Jesus,

Oraletta (for us both)

P.S.

Hello Again Everyone!
Sorry I forgot to put the address of the scripture verse on the update yesterday (11/2). It is Rev. 1: 5b-6.
The last time I tried to edit the blog I messed up real bad. So I'm doing it this way this time.

Love Y'all,

Dr.'s Visit/Update for Now

Hello Dear Friends,
Yesterday Roosevelt, Yvonne (daughter) & I went to see one of my doctors. I had an MRI prior to seeing him, and of course blood work. The MRI showed that the brain is in good shape.
For the present time as you know I just finished my last chemo treatment on Friday (10/27). Things are going well since that time. The tumor in my right lung has responded very well to the treatments I've received, both radiation & chemo. Much decrease in size. There is yet a little "fuzziness" on the x-ray, however we NOW WAIT and see what happens with the tissue that is visible on the xray. We cannot rush things at this point.
I will see my doctor's again in February. By then we should have a much better idea as to where we are with the remaining tissue. At this point in the game "I DO NOT WANT TO USE THE WORD REMISSION", not just yet. If there is one thing I've learned through out this Adventure of mine is that I cannot rush things. It takes time for things to happen.
ONE THING I AM GRATEFUL FOR IS THAT I WILL BE "CLOSELY MONITORED" FOR SOME YEARS TO COME. The doctor's want to stay on top of things as much as possible, so if I show up, they will do their part to monitor me carefully.

So Loved Ones & Faithful Prayer Partners, let's continue to pray that whatever tissue is now visible on the xrays, will be all gone by February. We know that God is and always have been and always will be in control. So we seek Him for the complete healing of this cancer. Pray for me that I will "Walk Worthy of His Name", as I continue in this Adventure. To Him be the Glory.

"To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father--to him be glory and power for ever and ever!" Amen.

May the Lord Bless each and everyone of You,

Oraletta (for us both)
